I am thinking one of my male Multi's may be ill but I'm not sure what it could be.
Tank Specs Ammonia-0 Nitrite-0 Nitrate-10 PH-8.4
I have kept 5 multis for almost a year now along with 4 Astatolapia Calliptera.
The problem is this: my old dominant male always acted and looked slightly different from the others (dorsal fin rarely upright, stomach never as big as the others after a meal). About 6 weeks ago, I noticed that he was getting thinner and thinner and also had two "bare" patches on his face around his nostrils. In the past three weeks, another male in the tank successfully challenged him over many long+violent but not damaging battles for the alpha position and now the male looks thinner than ever.
I was thinking this could be some sort of parasitic bug but still don't understand why this male has always looked different...
If you have any insight please let me know your thoughts.
