multi breeding maturity
Ok aside from the wait and see option,is there a specific size for them to be mature for this.I have had these fish for well over a year but I have seen no sign thus far from them as far as breeding goes.My lfs said that the "blue hap"is a good choice.I got one pair and the female already had a brood in her mouth.I got the fish home and the eggs were spat out.I am trying to false incubate them and dont think success is in order but it is worth the try.I have no doubt that she will have more.but from memory the eggs of this fish are to large.I have left them together but I think the multis might be the problem and they might be a bit immature, maybe it is so enticing a beeding style that i have jumped the gun in my desire to see this happen. So I need to decide if I should put them and these other fish in the big tank and attempt to breed another breed of fish.My female is about 3 inches and the three males are about two and a half. The reason that i think that they might be a bit small was when I visited a store in Calgary that had them and they were a bit bigger than mine.As always any help on this is greatly appreciated.thanks
