Suddenly active banjo catfish? Should I worry?

Post by BK »

I have had a banjo catfish for the past 4 1/2 years (last 3 1/2 in a 120 gallon). It has always buried itself in the subtrate rarley comming out. Sometimes we don't even see it for a month or two. Today however I noticed it swimming all around the tank from the bottom to the top. The banjo looks normal/unharmed and the other fish in the tank are acting normal. Since I have never seen it act this way before I was wondering if I should be concerned. has anyone noticed this behavior before?

Thanks,
Will

Was that during feeding time? My banjos are surprisingly limber when it comes to being fed.
