Queen Arabesque L260
Queen Arabesque L260
I have two questions relating to the attached photos. You'll notice that two of the QA's are very similar in coloration. Can you sex them from the photos? You'll also notice that one of the three has similar markings, but different coloration. Is this one a QA?
Thanks a bunch in advance! Have a great night!

The lighter one is definitely not stressed or sick. That is it's color all the time. I know for sure that one is a female and that the coloration is normal, as she had spawned for a friend of mine many times. All of his QA's have the same coloration as the lighter, greyish colored one. My question stems from a thread I seem to recall regarding L260's and the possibility that some L260's were maybe misidentified. If the lighter one is for sure an L260, it would be interesting to track their collection point to see if maybe the color variation is based on location, as all three are wild-caught. It would be great if I had one male and two females.

Miss coloration like yours can depends on several problems, stress, food, lack of trace elements, internal problem that affects pigmentation, carrier of a parasite, I dont think it's depending on any location or variation...some of them look as your others first but of one or more reason they turn pale after a while and look as yours. It happens with other species too so it's not only L260 affected.
I have no other advice then to observe her and keep an eye on her so she acts and behave normaly.
