Fishbase lists four species of Cephalosilurus:
Cephalosilurus albomarginatus
Cephalosilurus apurensis
Cephalosilurus fowleri
Cephalosilurus nigricaudus
The smallest is C. albomarginatus, 8.5 cm SL.
C. fowleri is the largest, 40.5 cm SL.
C. apurensis is listed as 29cm, C. nigricaudus as 35 cm.
All these measures are as described in the other post, standard length and scientifically preserved specimens, so there may well be larger specimens out there.
There's a little bit of info on C. nigricaudus here: http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/species ... igricaudus
The fact that there's no information in the Cat-eLog probably means that it's not commonly kept in aquariums...
Again, I have no knowledge about this fish, just collected info from other places, such as Cat-eLog and Fishbase. I also tried a search in the Forum, but didn't come up with much.
