I found these 5 fellows today and took them home for very small money. Looks like 2 males, 2 females and a juv female.
Is anybody keeping them and can give me some advice?
And also if my ID is correct?
Some java moss in the tank, for when the females start dropping fry would be good. Then the fry will have somewhere to hide until they get bigger...David
Last I heard they'd been placed in Xenotichthys. These can be one of the more aggressive Goodeids in my experience, can be tough on the dorsal fins of catfish etc.

Actually they were returned to the lfs due to agressive behaviour. But Id been looking for nice goodeids for a while and never saw any here.
From search results Id guess this is one is really common?
I would not say they are really common, but they are the most common, probably as they are the most colorful, goodeid in the aquarium trade.
