Brochis M

Post by Waldo »

I got some Brochis Multi's in and I noticed that lowering the water level and giving them the high o2 levels got rid of their veins. I've got some problems with the white grazing that they get on the tips of the fins. Any ways of fixing this?

Amazing there dextarity. They popped both the bags (double bagged 4mi)and completly drained the water to the point they were dry and sticky for quite some time (probably 20 hours. 1 out of the five lived out of that bag. I was impressed to say the least. especially after I had to convence the FWS during inspection they were makeing popping noises with there gills which was enough life for me to try and save them.
I support Water Mart!!! You should too!

Hello Waldo

Probably some funghi or bakterias....were their hurt during transpotation ? e.g. from popping the bags ?
Try very clean water und clean buttom substrate will help (often water changes).
Hurts on B.multiradiatus take a long time to heal.

yes, Brochis do this. E.g. B.britskii is going to growl or snarl, when you have it in your net, when you take him out with your hands, he is going to squiek like a young piglet.

B.multiradiatus is going to "click" in a relativ deep tone...then the whole group starts to escape...something like an alarm signal. But no noise when keeping out of the water here.

So these noise are not a good sign...no wonder by that sort oftransportation. :D

We had a thread on feeding B.multiradiatus a few days before..look for it.
Good luck with your new arrivals !
best regards
