Video Asterophysus

Post by Marc van Arc »

Just like to say that I'm very impressed by the video on Asterophysus batrachus. Well done Bud.
Could you perhaps make me/us even happier with Part 2, in which the swollen belly is shown? Thanks.

Actually, it's a funny thing, I've emailed him back a couple of times but no reply as yet...

A friend of mine helped film this short video. He doesn't go by "Bud," and I doubt he would have posted it here on PlanetCatfish.

I hope the person that posted this here at least asked for permission to post the video.

Nevertheless, if you want to see a little more, the original posted video is here:

http://media.putfile.com/lunch-at-EMKs

Its a bit of a download, so be patient.

We did not actually get to see the fish eat live (hence the video set-up). This same fish previously ate my 7" festae, and another gulper cat owner had his large pike (approx. 12-13 inches) eaten.

The catfish is fine and it took a little over a week to digest the feeder.

Thanks EMK for wanting to share this extraordinary video with us. Especially the slow-motion part is very impressive.
Finally I know what Morrissey meant when he sang "Bigmouth strikes again".

I'm a bit worried that "Bud" isn't playing by the rules here. I've emailed him and will be in touch with the outcome.

Jools,

I have seen links to this video many times from other sites.

It has been quite some time since we spoke, yet I see the credit is still not correct.

Can you please either remove the video, or provide proper credit. You can credit:

EMK / WaterWolves.com

Thanks.

Hi EMK,

I've changed the credit over to waterwolves.com and linked it to your forum username. As I explained in the last pm, I'd really like to get towards using real names in image credits wherever possible and you (or who ever I sent the pm too - there were several pople involved) didn't get back to me on that and so it dropped off the radar.

If you'd like to get back to me with your real name, I'll happily add that in too.

Thanks Jools!

I want to apologize, as I re-read my last post and it sounded rather demanding.

I didn't want to come off like that...it was more in line to asking a favor.

Thanks for the quick response, and again, apologies if my post was misinterpreted.

Regards,

Ben :)

No problem, I just wanted to make the point why it hadn't been changed - it's no problem to do that once I know.
