I just bought a used coralife aqualight power compact light fixture for my 37g tank and need to pick a new bulb. It came with a 6700k bulb, which makes everything look a little too green for my taste. I do not have live plants so that's not an issue. I'm mainly interested in highlighting my blue tetras and boesemani rainbows. I also have a bunch of corys, an L128 and L204 in there.
Would I be better off with a 10k or a 50/50 bulb? Is there really a difference? The bulb is 65w, 21." Thanks for any input!
Which bulb?

10,000k are a bit more yellow than I prefer and a 50/50 bulb will be WAY more blue than you'll probably prefer. Actinic lighting actually has less visible lumens, so you even lose the light you're paying to use. Current makes a "dual" daylight bulb with one side 6500k and one side 10,000k that I've been pretty happy with for power compacts. The 9325 All Glass GE brand lights are also pretty pleasing, IMO. Hope that helps!

I think with the compact fluoro's, it's the pin arrangement that you need to match along with the length and wattage. Some have a square arrangement and some have the pins in a row. If you order them on-line or on the phone, folks are usually eager to assist and help you find what you need.
I like them a lot on larger tanks.
