My bumblebee catfish has found an old resin rock/ornament I had in the tank and decided to use it as it's home. The old rock has a hole in the backside that's just the right size for him. I had the rock positioned so that no fish waste could get inside and avoid my cleanings. Now that the bumblebee has taken up residency inside should I be concerned with waste build-up inside (I can't exactly siphon out the hole with the fish still inside)? What are the odds that the fish will grow and become somewhat permanently lodged inside?
If his living in this hole could be a problem, I'll have to get up in the middle of the night to try to catch him out-and-about. He won't come out any other way.
Thanks!
