Synodontis Pardalis
Hi folks, this is my first post in the forum,so please be patient with me.I have recently seen an upsurge in this species being offered for sale.I know the species name to be valid, but is the fish on offer valid?I know in many cases it isn`t,it`s a hybrid.Does anyone know where true Pardalis can be found,or a good supplier of some of the species from Tanganyka,i.e. good quality Dhonti,Polli, Lophiobagrus Brevipinnis or Phyllonemus Filinemus?.

Hi,Thanks for the response.I don`t know about you, but I do not like hybrids however they look.I know I cannot find much info on the true Pardalis, although I willkeep looking,my posting was also intended as a warning to others as well to be careful when buying.I am absolutely certai n that many people have bought them thinking them to be the real thing. The Pardalis we are seeing around at the moment are being "created" by a U.K.wholesaler.they are crossing female Eupterus with male Multipuncs. It isn`t just the fact they are hybrid that bothers me,but the fact that a valid species name has been used.
