I've cycled a lot of tanks in my life --- both fish and fishless. I just want to know one thing. If I transferred all the water, substrate, filters and media from one cycled tank into another uncycled tank; will that new tank be safe for the same fish now? I know the good bacteria in the new tank will be somewhat less because of the new uncycled tank walls but will the new tank be enough to harbour life with the same fish?
Just a thought that has crossed my mind.

Mike D.

Yes, if you transfer everything from one tank to another without shocking the biological bacteria in the filter by having it turned off too long or getting it too cold, it should be fine. I always recommend very light feedings for the first week or so after a transfer, just in case, but it shouldn't be an issue.
