Hemicetopsis -> Cetopsis?
In CLOFFSCA and Cat-eLog, Hemicetopsis is listed, but in FishBase, the genus is now merged with Cetopsis...

How do you know it was merged? I mean, could it be that it's not yet been split?MatsP wrote:In CLOFFSCA and Cat-eLog, Hemicetopsis is listed, but in FishBase, the genus is now merged with Cetopsis...

Re: Hemicetopsis -> Cetopsis?
It might be so, but it seems unlikely to me: all Hemicetopsis became Cetopsis in 2005 (Vari, Ferraris & de Pinna). See CoF.Jools wrote:How do you know it was merged? I mean, could it be that it's not yet been split?

Hemicetopsis
Hi Jool and all.
Jools you might not want to move all Hemicetopsis back to Cetopsis just yet. Some of the Hemicetopsis are now placed in Cetopsis, but others are now in the genera Cetopsidium and Denticetopsis (Vari, Ferraris and de Pinna, 2005). If you need a listing let me know.
