I need my Cat identified!

Post by Fishpaste »

Ok so i bought a catfish by the name of "high fin cat". Now i am very well aware of the true high fin catfish but the problem here is that the cat i got looks more like a Syno.

I dont have a picture sorry. He is about 1.5 inches long now.Has 2 barbles on the top lip and has fine bushy barbles on the bottom lip. His fins are translucent with vertical brown stripes. And where the body joins the tail he has 2-3 Light brown/yellow vertical stripes. The rest of his body is a mud coloured brown with black spots on him.

I would appreciate any information on this guy. :D

Was it caught locally or imported?

No it isnt that one. Its body is a very dark brown with black dots on it. And has 2 quite large barbels on its top lip for its size im guessing its a carnivore.
