I have had 5 of these for about six month,s. I was told they were L260 Queen Arabesque but my Friends look totally different and dont have the dark bands across the body. He seems to think they maybe L318 Monte dourado
it's a L318, some of them have very clean silver markings and some the markings are not so clear and more and can look different but they are both the same fish (L318)...
I have 5 or 6 of these guys that were sent as L66 or L333. Sometimes, as Blue said, their markings are crisp but most of the time they are darkly blurred like those in your photos. They have a bug-eyed froglike look to them. I have questions that Blue might be able to answer, what makes them worth more that their better looking relatives? Not that they are nothing but they aren't the most beautiful of the genus, IMO. Are they just less common?

They are what Yann said...Hypancistrus sp "Monte Dourado" but they are not the same as L318, Datz shows another species as L318...the Aqualog shows wrong species.
