They're compatible alright. But maybe you should get more Cory's and Dianema's.
Corydoras pygmaeus is a true shoaler, that does best when you have 8-10 or so.
And Dianema's are very shy and lethargic too, unless you've got at least 4-5. As a "pair" they're much of a disappointment, usually.
While when kept properly they're quite active and cruising the whole tank.
Dianema is definitely one of those catfish that needs other fish around to feel secure; when you combine them with characins they will come out a lot more.
