S. multipunctatus breeding report

Post by Dave Rinaldo »

In this breeding report in Shanes World, S. multipuctatus has been paired with S.lucipinnis in the title.

Is this correct or was it meant to say S. grandiops?

You mean it then becomes "Spawning Synodontis grandiops & S. lucipinnis"?

It seems I spoke too fast.

I thought that since are similar to , they may also spawn the same (cuckoo).

As the text only refers to S. multipunctatus, I thought that maybe S. grandiops was intended instead of.

I failed to notice the second set of pics are S. lucipinnis.(without spawning report)

Hi Dave,

OK, see where you are coming from. In fact, there is some doubt that the similar to S. multipunctatus species are also cuckoo spawners. I seem to recall maybe Dinyar or perhaps someone else talking about that way before more species were introduced.

Anyway, I've "resolved" the bug report.
