Are such letters not good enough for UK severs :?:
I pesonally like my "?uot; that I still had a week ago in my username so can I get it back :?:

And the "crap" is happening in the Cat-eLog as well. Do you want me to manually fix those places, or are you working on some automagic fix for this?

All fixed now. This was a rather unfortunate difference between the default setting on the (old database (latin_swedish_ci) and the new one UTF-8. Most of the weekend working that out, but it's done now. There may be issue with data entered in the meantime, but nothing that can't be manually fixed.

I have to say I don't like that swipe at the new UK hosts - I try very hard to run this site as smoothly as possible - the problem could have happened on pretty much any server anywhere.
Even on .de sides such things happen :!: :evil: :evil: :evil:

OK, that's was a problem displaying (as opposed to storing) higher characters limited to catelog species pages, it is fixed now too!
