my catfish wont eat

my catfish wont eat

I have two bala sharks and a 4 lined pimelodella catfish. the two balas eat alot but the catfish wont eat anything. i tried flake food and worms that were cut up. hes only about 3 inches long.any help?

I take it you mean .

Have you tried some live bloodworms or other live food.

The more common are definitely easy to feed. But bear in mind that all are wild-caught, and it can take a little while for them to get used to non-live food.

Also, it seems to me that Pimelodus species are quite "slow" at getting used to their new habitat when moved. Other fishes are often more adaptable.

thanks... i thought we was tp small to eat live small fish but i will try that next

As Mats said, live bloodworm is good, and if you can get them small live shrimp (vary in size from 1/4" to at least 1", so try and get the smaller oes if you can) may do the trick. Personally, I would not suggest live fish of any description unless you can be assured of their source/health as this is the easiest way to introduce disease to a fish.
