Whats best to feed cardinal tetras?

Hi,
I would like to ask you,whats best to feed cardinals?I know it may seem a bit dump

but i always wondered...I am feeding mine Tetra prima and Hikari micro pelets and of course frozen bloodworms once or twice a week...I just thought to ask to know if there is something better to feed them than that...
Also,what do you feed yours?

I don't know what Tetra Prima is, but Tetra Min flakes are very well taken.
From the freezer you could add Cyclops, Daphnia as well as black and white mosquito larvae.

any mosquito-larvae (red, white and black)
frozen artemia
freshly hatched artemia-eggs (nauplii)
any small crustacean (cyclops, daphnia, bosmina etc)
worms; even black worms, micro-worms and enchytrea (the last ones only in small amounts)

and ofcxourse any quality flake or crushed food.

I will try feeding these too

Is there any prepared food of suitable size for their mouth that sinks instantly?I ask because flakes,Hikari micro pelets and crisps(forgot to say that i have been feeding them Tera Pro Crisps too recently) sink slowly and because all the surface of this aquarium is covered with Vallisneria leaves,they get stuck on them and very few make it under the ''Vallisneria barrier''

So currently i am mostly relaying on the Tetra prima for them to feed as the other dont make it in sufficient quantitys...

Use a pepper mill (or pistle & mortar or blender) to reduce the size of your Tetra prima if it seems like they can't eat it.

Wont it become too fine?The bigger ones eat it fine,they shallow the whole granule

but 2 smaller ones cant eat it and cant even bite a chunk out of it...They eat it though if one of the larger bits a chunk instead of eating it whole and also latter when they become soft,they manage to get a few bites out of it...This 2 mostly eat what falls from the Hikary micro pelets and the Tetra pro crisps but i am worried thats not enough...But i will follow what you said and will be crushing some with my fingers before feeding it

Will post the results after
