I added up the same numbers a year or so ago and they were slightly less skewed. No big surprises though. Plecos are popular right now.

Dind't see that topic.
Not your fault. I believe it was in either the Mods Forum or e-mails. My purpose was for help trying to figure out what I should do for a Catfish of the Month (COTM) article. However, if Jools linked COTMs to Cat-eLog popularity, 10 months of the year would be loricariid spp. I like plecos as much as anyone but I also think a varying COTM among all families introduces people to new things. In 2007, four of the 12 COTMs were loricariids. That seems fair to me as the other 8 were from a variety of families.

What would be interesting would be to see what are the most commonly accessed species WITHOUT CotM articles. If that's of interest, let me know and I'll work on it - it should only take 30 minutes or so.
