US or UK gallons?

Post by Andy »

Hi, I've seen that mostly everybody posting on this forum uses gallons in stead of litres when discussing volume and I was wondering which gallon everyone uses here. The reason I ask is that I've got a 190 litre tank and that translates to about 40 UK gallons and about 50 US gallons. When posting I've been using the lower value just to be on the safe side but I've realised that that's giving faulty info to our oversea neighbors. Which gallon value is the right value for these forums?

I think tank sizes are usually given either in liters or US gallons.
