Ompok hypophthalmus

Recently saw a Silurid described as O hypophthalmus in my local. They have several about 6" long silver color with dark stripe down either side. Is this name corect? I cant find any info. Is it a shoaling species, how big etc.doesnt look like anything in the cat e log.

Jason,

Ompok hypophthalmus should look very similar to O. eugeneiatus in the Cat-eLog, only with shorter barbels and a much larger head. They sometimes have a dark stripe along the side, and sometimes not.

I guess that is kinda similar. these werent transparent in any way,though very similar to my ompok Except mine is a mottled tan color with light brown stripes. They had big smiling mouths. Nice fish, swimmers too I never saw one resting.

Forgot to give you the info...O. hypophthalmus gets to about 30 cm SL, and they appear to cluster loosely in small groups, though they are not exactly what I would call schooling. They will eat fishes that can fit in their mouths also.
