Re: Mystus leucophasis
I moved your topic, as it's an Asian fish, and you had posted it in African fish (probably just by simple mistake of clicking on the wrong forum - I've done that a few times myself).
I'd say you need a tank of about 120 x 60 x 60 cm (or 4 x 2 x 2 ft) - that makes about 400 liters. This is based on the size in the cat-elog being about 30 cm (1ft).

Tank size _might_ also depend on gender, I've not seen a male get past 9", females are much more massive.

I have added a "Male" size of 230 mm based on your comments, Jools.

Re: Mystus leucophasis
Males have a light grey tube-like protuberance in the genital area, females do not have this. It's tapered and has a slightly bulbous base. There is a picture of this under .SAMSMITH wrote:how do i tell (in laymans terms)

Re: Mystus leucophasis
Depends on the size of the fish but roughly the size of the tip of a cocktail stick. From memory it's milky white. Sounds like you have a boy.
