Hello all. My lfs ordered butteryfly plecos and got five of these instead. The best part of that is i was able to take the pick of the group for $7 . What Baryancistrus is it? Thanks.
It can be a bit of a judgement call as the main difference is the spot size. L81 has smaller & more numerous than L18 but there is variability in spot sizes of all GNs. So what some may call a large-spotted L81, others might call a smaller-spotted L18. I'd lean towards L18.
It's L18, L81 does actually look quite different when you see a real one. I agree that spot size on L18 is variable (mainly with size), but in L81 they are not like anything you see elsewhere and are almost like a mild dose of whitespot disease.
