breeding albino cories

Post by kamikaze_fish »

I've got 3 albino cories I got from wal-mart when they were very small. 4 months later and they're full size I believe and doing great in my 55g. My question is, I want to get them to spawn. I've read it takes a couple years before they will but I can tell by the full belly of my female she's got eggs. Or so I think anyway. Very large rounded belly. Right now the tank temp is 74 and I've got several other fish in there too. What is the ideal setup for them to spawn? I am thinking about moving them to my 10g to do this if I need to so the eggs don't get eaten. Other tank mates are cherry barbs, 2 male guppies, and some platies.

Should be the same as - they are after all the same species [unless you have one of the less common albino forms - but even then, the guidance on the C. aeneus is very similar to others].
