Re: Do Ancistrus dolichopterus help orphan eggs?
I have placed ejected Ancistrus eggs in with another brooding male of A. cf cirrhosus and the male cared for them all. This was within species; not unrelated fish. I have had males spawn consecutively with 2 females and those occasions, it resulted in a very large number of fry.
