This is a difficult subject - sure, we can say "Have been spawned in captivity, but details unknown" - but it's hardly going to help someone spawn the fish.

So it would REALLY help when someone posts pictures of fry that they give some details as well. Not saying that we shouldn't have fry pictures with unknown details of how the spawn happened.

I agree Mats - it was an observation & perhaps a prompt to someone who has bred it to scribble down a few details.

However, the absence of someone willing to provide details (or someone willing to read a few breeding reports and post an entry here or indeed directly into the data submission) should not preclude correcting information in the cat-elog which is factually wrong. Or, to put it another way, if something is wrong, it's more important to correct that quickly, than correct it perfectly over a longer time.

If one of you data sub chaps could changed the "Unreported" to at least "Has been bred in captivity" in leuie of anything more coming in then that would be of help.

Cheers,

Jools

Ok, I have amended it.

Anyone spotting any other species with "fish apparently breeding" and that says "unreported", please post here.

Ah, should have said "Feel free to post new thread in bugs section" , as this one is "closed" now.

I will fix C. arcuatus, but anyone spotting any others, I'd prefer a separate.
