Re: interesting photos #3 (synos)
Given that most of the photos are of common species or hybrids, how is this interesting?

Re: interesting photos #3 (synos)
I think it's interesting in terms of greater understanding of the hybrid situation.
Hopefully we are all aware of hybrids being passed off as granulosua, recently decora (valentine) & more recently longiristris, but i have not seen hybrids being passed off as courteti before.
The one labelled dhonti appears to be hybrid 2.
The nyassae is a hybrid,
the greshoffi appears to be schoutedeni.
the penultimate 4 are all hybrids although labelled "sp".
& the last appears not to be a syno at all.
Hopefully if more debate & confirm ID's here it will asssist people in making the right choices when wanting to buy genuine species, or correctly labelled species & not making costly mistakes with the ever-increasing hybrids available.
Perhaps "interesting" was not the best choice of word for the topic, but as i'm on a lunch break it was a swift post to stimulate some discussion on the fish pictured, & hopefully, ultimately, increase peoples knowledge...?
