i could'nt help noticing in the link that David Bowie has had a spider named after him,i was quite a fan in the eighties but i cant ever see me becoming a fan of large spider's :)
it's a fitting gesture for Steve Irwin to have a new species named aftrer him.

Cartoonist Gary Larson ("The Far Side") has some sort of tiny insect named after him.

It's rather funny that they use Crikey for the genus, haha.

He's got a louse. Not sure if I would want a louse with my name on it, hehe.

Also, the spider genus Aptostichus has A. stephencolberti and A. angelinajoleae, to name two of them; I'm not sure if the other species in the genus are also named after people or things. In fact, their descriptions are also in Zootaxa.

And who could forget ?
