neosilurus ater

. i saw these 1's on sale at my lfs and in the marine section i saw (btw a long time ago) i saw 2 of eel like catfish that looked exactly like Neosilurus ater and it was so similar. and it was in a tank with an epaullete shark.
im just wondering what the scientific name etc is.

Are you asking what fish looks similar to Neosilurus ater and isn't Neosilurus ater?

The most common marine catfish is , but the obvious lines on most young specimens being sold means they don't look very much like N. ater other than eel-tailed body shape. The general body shape of catfish in the family Plotosidae gives them the name "eel-tailed catfishes".

but the thing was it didnt have any colour it was just a bit bluish black colour and that was it.

thnx i think this might be it because it lives in marine waters. but the colour isnt the same. i could give a picture of it but they gave the 2 fish to our local zooo because noone would buy them.
as i said before the colour was a bluish black
