Australian Native catfish?

Post by islandpetsupplies »

Hi, I'm from Tasmania AUS and I've just been browsing through the site and have noticed there isn't much information on a lot of Australian-native catfish, especially eel tails in particular? For example there is barely any information on Neosilurus ater, Tandanus Tandanus and Neosilurus hyrtlii, because they are quite popular fish in Australia, and the photos on the site don't do the fish justice.

As I have a few specimens of my own (over 40cm long in length) and they look quite spectacular in the aquarium, I wouldn't mind being allowed to upload a few photos and or videos of my own Neosilurus ater to the species page for people to be able to see them in a different perspective. I can also get a few photos of other Australian native cats so people actually know what we have down here and to what sizes they can grow!

Cheers, Caleb Graham

That'd be excellent, I keep myself and they're great pet fish. All photos welcome as Birger pointer out and also if you want to consider an article, catfish of the month of even working with one of the team to submit more info on them then please just let us know what you're willing to do and we'll take it on.

Cheers,

Jools
