This is what the Cat-eLog has under compatability
A peaceful, solitary species. Can be safely kept with smaller fishes.
so I do not think there would be a problem with these two species.

I would think a 30 gal. would not be large enough for one of these as a permanent home.

In the Cat-eLog pictures it shows some as greyish colored.

They will go well together, I kept plecos with mine. 30 gallons is way too small, even for young .

If the measurements are in cm (which i presume they are?) then this tank is too small - N Ater will need to be kept in something with a floorprint (length x width) of around 180x 75 (the height of the tank is of considerably less importance)
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
