I have had an Gymnallabes typus for probably a couple months now. I have never actually seen this guy eat.. I've tried frozen shrimp and bloodworms, pellets, live ghost shrimp and a live baby livebearer. He doesn't touch the baby livebearer, and as far as I know, only two shrimp have disappeared.
Does anyone have experience with these guys? Is this a normal feeding routine? it doesn't LOOK skinny, and it does move around.. I have it in a quarantine still because I want to make sure it eats first before adding it to my main tank.. Nothing else with him but an Otocinclus flexalis..

The one I had would eat bloodworms and carnivore pellets with gusto.
That said, they usually enter the trade in not so good a shape. I've seen many that refuse to eat and eventually starve to death. The ones I had also contracted a weird parasitic disease (that did not spread to tankmates) on two separate occasions that made them lose their appetites and die.
