Date shot on images

Post by MatsP »

It seems like a huge amount of photos have a "date shot" or 04/10/2008 hh:mm:ss, where hh:mm:ss varies, but the date is constant. It seems very unlikely that this is actually the correct date. I'm not sure if this is the time the image was stored on the server (thus explaining the slight difference), or if there is some other explanation.

If it is the date it was added to the server, then it's pretty much meaningless... It would actually be better if it there wasn't any information.

I think it was the last time I batch optimised the images without knowing we were going to use EXIF information.
