Cory Adolfi - Help Wanted

Post by jasonu »

One of my cory adolfi is lying on his back, not interested in moving or joining the other fish.

The tank specs / water are ok.

I am not sure if he is ill or it is his age, I have had him for almost 18 months. In that time none of the adolfi have been ill, always thought they were very tough wee fish.

The other adolfi are ok.

Any suggestions etc greatly appreciated.

Thanks

he is lying on his back? I would think its a bacterial infection. Isolate him right away

Let's start with the "my water is fine". It would help us a whole lot more if you told us what the water measurement values actually were - we've had a few cases of one person's good being pretty horrible in another persons interpretation.

And I doubt it's old age, unless it was several years old when you got it. Corys live for several years. Ian Fuller (Coryman) has told us about Corys that he's got that are 15-18 years old, and younger teenagers that still breed.
