Fish seen at shops during CSG convention trip

Post by Richard B »

No surprises that we saw some great fishes...

Some details were posted in advance in a different thread so there may be some duplication but a small selection of those seen are...

BAS

Aqualife

small & beautifully marked

Pier

large & fantastic price
cataphractus/spinosissimus?

And in addition, as i can't remember what was at what store, we also saw...
a few species
a few species

a couple of species
all 3 'named'
More Cory's & Plecos that you could shake a stick at & stuff was still arriving at stores whilst we were there & within the next week.

So many species, so little tank space......

I can't think of any fish that could possibly match the purple shirt you wore on Saturday night.

Neither can I.

I came home with some planned and unplanned fish:
Planned form Pier:
(aka L091) x 5 (2M, 3F)
Unplanned from Pier:
x 6 (£4.50 each!)
This is to replace the three Brochis I've lost over about 5 years since I first bought them - and three more, because they really do best in a bigger group...

Unplanned from Aqualife:
x 8 (nearly mature, £5.99 each!)
x 5 - small but decent price at £9.99 each. Hopefully I'll have a male and female. Nice orange-red colour.
(Thanks for the delivery service from Aqualife - it's great to be able to pick out fishes on Friday, and not have to worry about keeping them at the hotel over the weekend).

You all obviously arrived home OK.

Ian and I stayed over until this morning, along with about 18 others :)

We called in at Aqualife and Pier , we were going to go on to BAS after Pier; but ran out of time :(

Got to say though, I really did enjoy myself; both as CSG Sec; and as myself.
Great talks, great conversations, beer was good, and the company was excellent,

Great event (Well done Ian et al), great people etc etc - looking forward to 2011! :D

However, there is a significant downside. Being a Midlander, & as the event was at the seaside ,i was looking forward to seeing the sea...................

If you would have come down with me at 6am on Sunday morning for a swim, the tide was in...
