How many Panaque sp. L027 were there? Are you sure they were a L027 variety (as opposed to L190)?

I should have commented that unless otherwise stated, ID's are as labeled in the shop!
There were probably half a dozen of them - all about 1.5-2" in size - definitely SMALL.

Thanks Mats. With them being that small and numerous I think they are much more likely to be freshly imported misidentified L190. I might give them a ring tomorrow just to see if they know when they got them in (to eliminate the possibility of being L027). Btw Mats, please don't think Im shooting the messenger :D

To be honest, they may even have been labeled L190 - I don't really remember - they were one of the "P. nigrolineatus" variants, all I remember.

But do give them a call, I'm sure they can and will tell you want country they were exported from...
