The exporter insists it is a flash zebra I'm not that familiar with them myself

The Tigrinus is in quarantine right now when he appears healthy and eating well he will be moved to a bigger tank

Common names come and go...often get changed for various reasons but you can be sure of the scientific name.

The Leiarius pictus will also be a good looking fish in a nice display

The scientific names can change too - but a record is kept in the synonym-list, so you can find your way from an old name to a current name or the other way around.

Also, whilst scientific names are unique and well recorded, the identification given by the exporter is not always correct for any number of different reasons, ranging from bad literature [a famous example is the picture of a in the Baensch Atlas, where the caption says - if you don't know the difference, hover over the names, and you'll see that there isn't that much in common between the two], through honest mistakes all the way to intentional deception. In some cases, there is a big difference in price between one species and another, and "intentionally misidentification" gives the exporter double the money for a batch of fish - may be worth taking the risk...
