They are very skinny. The one on the right is a male for sure. Head shape of the left one looks make too, but feeding them a bit may grow out a bit and show more of a female shape - I'm doubtful, but it's possible.
I agree with the others,they both looks likely to be male.The male tend to have a broader head shape and large pectoral fin-rays,while the female have a much more narrow head and smaller pectoral fin-rays.
8 to 10 cm is about as large as these get.
The possible female seems skinny but I would not be so sure it isn't a female. It seems broader at the beam despite her thinness. I use that method to do a rough sexing of my plecos and am right about 75% of the time. Never 100% certain until I compare fish in excellent condition. That gets much easier among adults in good condition. I am wary of fish being sold as pairs. Once the sexes are easy to determine there becomes an excess of surplus males to dispose of.
And unless you know these two have produced fry you are just taking someone's word for it.
I would collect as many younger fish I could get my hands on and then, someday, sort out my breeding group.
