Hi,
In the corner of my tank I just found what may possibly be a fish skull. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to upload any pictures, though I will ASAP. From the top, the shape looks a little like this emoticon

but with a rectangular extension to the bottom. There is then a flimsy attatchment that is the shape of the fish's brain, but outside the skull area. The whole object is a mottled brown colour, but the 'bone brain' is white. It is dry and odourless, and there are no other signs of a dead fish in the aquarium, and yesterday, all fish were present. The only fish I can't see today are the Hemiancistrus, though I often go for 2 weeks or so with no sign of him/her, and the Kribensis, who is usually in hiding in her wooden cave. All other fish were out and about today.
The object is exactly 15mm across (wing to wing

), and 15mm from top to bottom, not including the 'bone brain', which is 10mm long.
The last few days, they have been fed frozen Daphnia, the only change to their diet (which all the fish are going crazy for), and no change in conditions.
Please could someone help ID this, as I am totally flustered, and my only guess would be a bony headplate or skull.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Harry
