Suggestions for non pleco tank mates for LDA33

Post by krazyGeoff »

Hi,
After re-modeling the LDA 33 tank I think it would be cool to have some other non pleco fish in there.

Tank is 200 x 60 x 45cm (78.7 x 23.6 x 17.7 Inches)
Volume 540 ltr (118 UK gal, 142 US gal)
Temp 28 - 31C (82.4 - 87.8F)
pH 5.5 - 6.5 but normally at the low end
Filtration is FX5, outlet a left hand side at 45 degrees angle to left and right
Circulation is Tunzee 6045 at both left and right hand back side of tank directed at 45 degrees and a slight upwards angle to front.

Currently the only stock is 7 x LDA33. Largest is about 21cm (TL), smallest is 17?cm

Any suggestions would be appreciated. pH and temp could be quite limiting.

Thanks

Geoff

A large school of cardinal tetras. Many of the dwarf cichlids from the Ram group and some of the apisto's. I keep Rasbora heteromorpha (Harlequin Rasbora) at those conditions. A group of corydoras sterbai would probably work out well.

Thanks Trent,
I may be just going to leave it like it is for now. Every now and then it feels like a lot of space that I could put a swimming type fish into.

My thoughts were similar to yours, so I am pleased that at least I was thinking about the "right" sort of things.

Cheers

Geoff
