not SF but about 30-45 mins north in Santa Rosa is Ceasars Tropical Fish. every time I've gone they've had some cool pl*cos and synos.

I don't live in SF bay area at the moment but when I did live there "Ocean" aquarium near downtown was one of my favorite haunts. Justin alway had hard to find and unusual fish. Located a few blocks north of the City hall off Van Ness. Little hole in the wall on a narrow side street. Gotta search thorougly to find it.
