To me, the L240 is way to small to be sexed. If you want to get a breeding group, you either need to find a group of fish and bring them up, see what you get... Or find some that are sexable in the shop - 5-6" would be a reasonable size to expect to be able to sex them.

How big is the L091? It looks like it's about the same size as the L240, in which case the answer is per above.

the 2 l240 are 5" and the l091 is 7"?? :-\

I plan to bring them up until they are sexable i was just wondering whether or not anyone was able to sex them and as you stated 5 to 6 inch is fine

Doh, obvious "should have gone to specsavers moment", I read
Fish 1.5"
, not
Fish 1 5"
like it actually says...

I _think_ you have a pair of L240 (female is fish 1, male is fish 2) - this is base don headshape, pectoral fin length and overall body shape. I think both fish need a couple more inches before we can say for absolute certain.

The L091 would be a male based on the same signs.

cheers man that's what im sorta hoping for as i already have a female at 6 and a half inch and hoping in the future i will get them too breed b-)
