Split: Stuff from the Panaqolus debate

Just curious: Which parts of the Peckoltia group will have to be moved or split?
edit: Just seeking an explanation why Peckoltia is in a mess?

Any chance you can use full words in this forum? It's hard enough to read (especially for non-native English speakers like me :-) ) txt is fine for the speak easy, but it's not cool here. While I'm moderating, use of italics for scientific names should be encouraged wherever possible in this forum. Where and how to use these would make another good FAQ entry...

Anyway, I don't actually understand the question - can you rephrase and give us more detail?

Hi Jools!

I think that Chris wanted to know regarding what caracters should Peckoltia be split and what species would be involved in that splitting.
Cheers

Hi,

Hi!

well, I think a Dutchman doesn´t want to be called "German speaking" ;)

And, however, especially you should know it, is there a border in Switzerland opinions?

Hi Walter!!

Well to my hear Dutch and german sound the same
Anyway with all the stuff publish in German, Isbrücker is almost german now...

Regarding border of opinion in Switzerland, Ich glaube dass du schon vom Röschtigraben gehört hast...
Anyway I don't know the position of my German speaking compatriots, and I am not aware of any French speaking swiss catfish nut like me so I can't speak for them either!!!

Cheers

Well, buddyboy trouble came just knocking on your door.....

we are NOT (and I repeat NOT!!!!) the same!
Dutch is a whole different language, we don't use umlauts for one thing, and we have very different grammar too.

Maybe an earwash is in order

It would be about the same as saying Swiss are just a buch of French, Italians and Germans dumped in the Alps......

Or a similar case:" saying that an Irishman is a Scotsman is a Welshman is an Aussi is an Englishman is a Yankee??"

They all speak English, don't they?

That would be another great way of getting yourself buried in a pile of Pleco Manure
Anyway with all the stuff publish in German, Isbrücker is almost german now...
That would make me a potential Briton with almost all my stuff in English....
We won't sell Isbrucker to Germany, we're wayyyy too proud to have at least 1 excellent catfish-professor coming from our polderland....

The spoken Dutch is a lot easier to understand than the spoken German-language - at least for me (from Denmark). I think it's because I can recognise a lot of english words and danish words.

It has been proven that most of the English language as we know it today, evolved from a Germanic language very simlar to one spoken in some parts of Holland today.
There are also several hundred words which we consider a part of our everyday langauge which are actually Hindi. (Juggernaut, Shampoo, Dingy, Bungalow)

Hi Chris!

It seems that you have forgot about the Romanche, still they represent 1% of the population...
TO see the mess I am , I was born in Switzerland from a French dad and a Swiss mom. I got my mind for a few things in USA and Africa and my heart is in South America...
So basically I am a little mix of everything and D*** proud of it....

Charly

Meu Amigo, je sais que I am not the only french speaking personne que goste do welse.
Ich denke dass ich le seul Romand bin....

Boa ferias!!
