is listed as P. ribeiroi but IMO is P. muricata. P. muricata has a much more forked caudal then ribeiroi and tends to have uniform body colour/pattern - both these traits are present in this picture.

I strongly disagree and stick by my original identification. Pseudolaguvia muricata has a much longer dorsal spine that when pressed against the body, reaches (or almost reaches) to the origin of the adipose fin (which this fish does not have). Furthermore, it lacks filamentous extensions to the upper caudal-fin lobe (which is present in P. ribeiroi).

Ok, have put it back. Funny, I thought the filament was a stray whisker when I first looked at the pic. Thanks for the correction,
