The fish is juvenile, about 2.5" and pictures are under an incandescent light so the spots look yellow althougn they are white.

Hi!

I totally agree with Jools!
This is an Hypancistrus inspector
Cheers

I did some looking around on different sites with pictures and have a few questions:
Looking at the fish I posted - the spotsize and sparse amount makes it look like the following:
L-004, L-028, L-068 , L-254. What is the difference between those and the L-201 H inspector?

I also noticed that my gibby , L-196 looked a bit more like an L-165.

And lastly my L-059 look more like L-183

What is the difference?

Hi!

L04 and L28 have smaller spots and more numerous at the same size and not so yellow intense coloured...
Regarding L254, your fish is too different morphologically to be one... yours really has that typical Hypancistrus shape...
Cheers
