Breeding Petricola

Post by 660Dave »

I know this isn't easy, i'm by no means an expert but it's something i would like to have a chance of, or aim to achieve in the future.
I know of the three tank method, but i'm just after any advice you can offer to put me in with a shot of getting these to breed. I have a group of 6 adults, in their own tank. I have at least 3 females, maybe 4 not 100%
Any suggestions/advice welcome.
Thanks.

Hi all,
The easiest way is to go to the Cat-eLog page for <http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/spe ... ies_id=857>, and have a look under "breeding", in this case it says there is confusion with , so it would be worth a look there as well. If you don't get any joy there, there is a list of breeding accounts in Shane's World <http://www.planetcatfish.com/shanesworl ... n&mode=all>
which takes you to: <http://www.planetcatfish.com/shanesworl ... lucipinnis>.
So still nothing ideal.

Your next best bet would be to start searching through the "African catfish" forum, which comes up with <http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... a+spawning>, which also has ID tips.

cheers Darrel
