Something new! Introducing Hypancistrus sp. "rio madeira"

Hi,

news concerning Hypancistrus are rare. So I am glad to introduce this new species to you. The catching location is very uncertain, Rio Madeira is not a typical habitat for Hypancistrus. These fishes (actual 2) has been imported as a bycatch of Peckoltia sp. (L 209). I have seen this kind of fish at some websites in asia, but I think ist very rare. Importer is Oliver Frank from OF-Aquaristik, a famous and well known catfish-enthusiast in Germany. These fish are very huge - 15cm and they look like XXL L 340. I will post pictures to this community soon.
