Need ID on 2 corydoras from Peru

Post by eczs-1 »

I have these arriving soon and I am having a lot of trouble finding out exactly what they are. The river names are cory altum and Intuto.
Any help in a correct ID would be appreciated.

Hi,

the second one is without any doubt C 91, in the trade also often named C. "Peru bondi".
Ituto seems to be a tributary to Rio Tigre, this would perfectly match to this species.

The first one looks a bit like C. loretoensis but it seems to high bodied for this and also the pattern isn't exactly right.
I also think it's not C 96 also from this area, I therefore would preliminary call it C. cf. armatus.

Do you have a better pic with lateral view ?!

Cheers,
